Olympics '06
This is my first ever competition! It is the Gymnastics World 2006 Olympics!
It was a really big event for us preschoolers!

This is Gymnastics World! Here i am lining up in the gym that i practice in. i was the leader in my group! and i also had a great group number! 3!!!! we had to wait for a long time to get everything together before we marched in. but i wasn't nervous! |

well it was news to me, but i guess everyone has been practicing this song w/o telling me. everyone new what to do and the words but us little kids! the teachers told us to put our right hands on our hearts while we stand and face the flag...but why? nobody was dancing, and everyone just stood there. it was very weird |  |
So this is my rotation: bars, floor, beam , vault

is me in touch warmups. that is when you have one quick chance to practice
your routine before you have to wait your turn to do it for REAL in
competition, with judges!! |

and here it is for real! My bar routine is: jump to front support, <------------ 3 casts, forward roll around the bar ------->

....to Captain Hook toe! land w/ TaDa!!!! i did really good on bars. i got a 10.0 mommy says that is a perfect score! and it was my first event too!! |

here i am talking to the girl next to me, i already went on bars, so i was bored.... |
i gave up talking when i realized that i could see my whole family and they were waving to me! so i started making silly faces instead! |
Here is my second event: this is tumbling. big girls call it floor. i am "saluting" the judges. we were all kinda nervous about that... |

here i am trying my cartwheel. my mommy says i'm a lefty, so that is what i tried... my first cartwheel didn't go too well, so i tried it again, but i just wasn't feelin it today. daddy says thatz ok though. . |

so i moved on to my pencil roll <----------- here you have to be very long and straight and make your hands like the point of a pencil. my roll was a little crocked, but i think they liked it. |

and than a backwards roll down the wedge. of course i finished w/ a Ta Da...after i picked my wedgie! but since i need more practice on my cartwheel i got a silver, not gold |

after bars
and floor we rotated to balance beam. here i am in line picking my wedgie
again. this is the first time i ever wore this leotard. mommy says maybe
my last too. she also says thatz what we should expect when we only
pay $3 for it! |

This is me and a very nice girl that was helping on beam. i don't know her name though. i started on the end of the beam and said "hi" to the judge again, than started my routine: walkforward on my toes, ---------> |

stop in the middle and pivot <------ walk backward on my toes stop at the end and do a lunge---> (oh yeah, check out my hair! it's my mommies first french braid ever! just for me!) |

than march to the middle where i pivot again and do a hop off w/ a STICK! and Ta Da!!!

this is me on my last event- vault. we had to run up and punch the spring board and hop up onto the block,than a hop off. |

i am getting help from that nice girl again during touch warm ups. but that mat is slippery w/ socks !!!! |

After my first olympics we went out for Ice cream and even mommy had some. she said she got a belly ache though... when we got home, mommy wanted to take some more pictures of my with my flowers. mommy and daddy both said that they are SOOO proud of me!
we love you Lenna! you did soooo well! you are such a big girl already and we know you will do well in whatever you try! you are already a perfect 10.0 to us! - Mommy and Daddy |
